Reynolds, Byron Bay

The decision to renovate or sell can be a tricky one as families grow and priorities change. When one decides to “stay and renovate” the change has to be considerable and the result embody the investment. For the owners of this Byron Bay property a renovation meant reinterpreting their existing spaces to accommodate new programs. This kid’s bathroom had to double as the guests’. That meant functionally the joinery had to employ some tricky detailing to conceal day-to-day requirements such as storage for dirty clothes and towels, while doubling as that beautiful powder room with silky finishes and mood lighting for guests to enjoy.

Continuity being paramount; every effort was taken to coordinate with a white minimalist kitchen whilst striving to achieve depth and individuality with a restrained palette of materials.
